At Jensen Eyecare Center, PLLC, vision therapy is a unique part of our dedicated optometry practice. Vision therapy is a facet of optometric care that is devoted to developing, improving and enhancing people's visual performance. We have our own in-house Vision Learning Center, administered by Erica Pasker, CPO, ABOC, who is our full-time vision therapist.
About Our Vision Services:
Nearly all humans are born with the potential for good eyesight, but vision ( which is the ability to identify, interpret and understand what the eyes see ) is a process learned and developed from birth.
As we grow, our visual skills build on each other, step-by-step, in a process called visual development. Unfortunately, many people miss or do not complete a step in the process, resulting in poor visual performance. A programmed series of exercises can be designed to improve control of the eye muscles, improve visual perception or improve visual motor integration. These exercises are done both at home and in-office with our vision therapist, and can make a difference for those whose visual skills are poor.
